Bought the Cabrio washer in March 2011. Have had the same problems as everyone else. The machine is constantly off-kilter, does not wash well due to lack of water. Sounds like a freight train when spinning. Bulky clothes dont drain properly and have to be rinsed and drained a second time. After one year of ownership, the entire control panel had to be replaced. The next year, the same control panel had to be replaced again plus a water valve had to be replaced. Thank God I bought the extended warranty. The repairs would have cost me $1000, more than I paid for the washer in 2011. Total piece of junk. AVOID AT ALL COST!!!!

My initial CS complaint is with Whirlpools IVR system, which was far less than a desirable experience. After tricking the system, a CS agent answered promptly but was not able to address my concerns. I asked to speak to a supervisor and received a return call from Chris within minutes. I found Chris to be patient and understanding of my issues. Chris promptly assisted me with my issues and offered an equitable resolution. Chris is whats right with American companies and domestic customer support.

I purchased a washer/dryer around March of this year. I have nothing but trouble out of both of them. It doesnt matter what cycle the washer is on. Its like it has a mind of its own. It may wash; it may not. Sometimes, it takes over an hour for it to finish washing. The dryer sometimes dries on one cycle; the next time, it wont. Who would think a brand new appliance would do this. Every appliance in my kitchen is Whirlpool. They dont give me any problem, and I use them everyday.

The repairman came, told us we needed to replace the control panel and he would order it. My American Express was charged $389.91 on March 26th. I called today, April 9, asking about where the part was and when my machine would be repaired. I was told the part would not be available until July 11, 2013. I cannot believe that a company would expect a customer to wait nearly four months for a part as well as charge them for the parts and labor four months ahead of the part. When I called, I was first told that there were 15 parts in stock, but then was told that there were not any available to me. I have cancelled the service but it will take them three weeks to credit my card back for the part.

After two major repairs, the repair company said the fas venue (?) suspect board was defective and needed to be replaced by the manufacturer. After 3 weeks of back and forth calls with Whirlpool customer service, the only solution they provided was for me to purchase a new stove at a discount with no compensation for installation, the gas connection kit, or haul-away of the old appliance. The original stove cost me $1100 including the installation, haul-away and taxes. The replacement option would have cost me $800 and still did not included haul-away, the gas installation kit, or taxes. Hardly an affordable solution. Whirlpool at no time addressed that a part on the stove was deemed defective.

Own Whirlpool GB2FHDXWS04 refrigerator for 14 months. From the beginning, the ice maker made gross tasting ice and never got better (had to start buying ice). Then a smell started coming from the fridge every time the fan came on. We called before the warranty was up and talked to Whirlpool, and they said that we must have put something smelly in the fridge that caused the plastic to absorb the smell (which we didnt). They told us to put baking soda in and change it everyday. No change. They kept telling us there is no way it could be giving off a smell for any other reason and if they sent a tech out, we would have to pay for it. Trying to intimidate us until the warranty was up. Then after a month or so, the bottom mount freezer starts leaking water all over the wood floors every 3 days. At first we turned off the water line, but then realized it is coming when the freezer defrosts. One good thing, the freezer, from the beginning, knocked really loud and now that its leaking it doesnt knock. We spent $1,200 just over a year ago and will probably have to go purchase a new one now. I will tell you it will never be another Whirlpool product. Whirlpool has not apologized or done anything but say, Now your warranty is up, you should have bought the extended warranty. Great customer care! With all these same complaints, you would think Whirlpool would figure the problem is their inferior product (which they know) and actually take responsibility.

The machine was leaving spots on my clothes from day one (was told it was my detergent)! The machine started making strange noises and not cleaning clothes. It was coming out worse than they went in the machine! I called on Oct. 10th, 2011 to complain. They told me my warranty was up! I had to pay $234.83 to order F7E1 activator and pay repair. The repairman told me that my machine was not delivered until Oct. 14th, 2010. It should have been covered on warranty!

One month later: In December 2016, it needed a new ice maker, as it never did fill the ice bucket and they were always melted together. Two months later: In February 2017, a thermal fuse had to be replaced—refrigerator compartment wasn’t cold enough. 8 months later, Aug 2017, it needed electronic circuit board replaced, as refrigerator compartment completely froze up. November 18, 2017 manufacturers one year warranty expired. BUT, I HAD PURCHASED AN EXTENDED WARRANTY! 4 years from NSI Protection Plus (a joke, see my review.)December 31, 2017: One year and one month after delivery, the unit stopped cooling completely. My local appliance store where I purchased sent out a tech and took it into the shop for diagnosis. They found the sealed system was kaput. Couldn’t get the temp below 67 degrees. My dealer was great and sent out a loaner after a week, and for almost 7 weeks they argued for a replacement with NSI Protection Plus. Finally on February 8, 2018, they threatened to take them to court and they paid $15 less than my purchase price. I’m out $189 for the “warranty,” $188.48 sales tax and $89.95 delivery. And I have to go buy another refrigerator. It won’t be a Whirlpool.

Whole has a week to wait with no hot water, $35 for expedited shipping (which took 2 days), $175 for the plumber (authorized by Lowes (1star also) for installs). 2 days later the unit is cold again... Plumber comes back, plays with wiring and gets it fired up again. Says if there is a problem again to refer the techs to the plumbers office for new tank. Well now Whirlpool says they will only take the word of their own plumber AUTHORIZED HEATING 24 hours wait for a service call. You will be the 1st job Wednesday morning. Wednesday 930 call from AH we are backed up. Hope to be there between 1 and 4 pm. How did you get backed up if I was 1st job? Never again will I buy Whirlpool and nothing from Lowes as well. Still no hot water day 3 second time in 2 months.

We bought a Whirlpool range with glass cooktop and convection oven to replace a 20 year old stove which had served us reliably but was beginning to look a bit dated and worse for the wear. The new range was installed in February, less than 2 months ago. Today, while I was preparing Easter dinner and had a ham in the oven, the cooktop elements refused to heat, even though the cooktop on light was lit up. We followed all the troubleshooting tips we could find in the user manual and online, but nothing worked. We decided to do the rest of the meal in the microwave and just finish the ham in the oven (which had been working). Then the oven failed, and would not heat back up.As a last resort, we pulled the range out and unplugged it, to perform a hard reset of the electronics. (This was recommended in some of the online troubleshooting tips.) No joy. Both the oven and cooktop elements will not heat, even though the lights on the control panel light up. Now we have to call a service technician to come fix it in the middle of a pandemic. How can a brand new and expensive range be less reliable and less useful than the cheap 20 year old stove we just got rid of?

Whirlpool Energy Efficient Top Loader - I re-wash at least 20% of all clothes because they have dark spots AFTER washing them, but NOT before! It is a moving target, wash out one dark mark; get another somewhere else. I bought great quality sheets that are permanently stained, because of this. No matter how you load this machine, anything with arms and legs gets entangled into a big knotted mess. It is difficult to separate them and time-consuming. This puts a lot of stress on the clothes, especially as the load spins. I also re-wash entire loads at least 4 loads because the clothes dont rinse properly. I bought a 5 yr. extended warranty and have had this serviced at least 4 times to no avail. THE PROBLEM IS IN THE DESIGN! I am POSITIVE of it. If you have these problems, as well, please contact me. I would love to investigate a class action suit. I am THAT mad.

We constantly have to dry the floor since it is leaking water. We called whirlpool on July 27 and they send someone to check it out the following day. He reported that we need a new freezer door. I call for a follow up, I was told that it will take 6-8 weeks before we get a new door and part for the ice maker. We recently called to follow up on the status of the door just to find out that the order didnt get process until mid August. In the meanwhile, the fridge is having condensation. Water is everywhere inside. Fruits are being rotten because of too much moisture. We called again and they send out the same technician. The technician reported that the fridge will not work properly until freezer is fix. We call whirlpool again just for them to tell us to wait for the part, and gave us an extra 6 month warranty.

A couple years ago we purchased a Whirlpool Cabrio WTW8000 top-load, high-capacity, washing machine based upon good claims of the salesman at Lowes - Appliance Dept. This was not an inexpensive machine. However, this washing machine failed to live up to representations and performance is poor. However, biggest complaint is that clothes are able to get stuck between drum and the unique agitating device which results in holes and tears in material. This is a significant design flaw and were not sure why more people dont complain about this rather significant design flaw. Of course, there are other shortcomings... but destruction of clothes is a serious problem. While this machine is in excellent condition, it will be replaced with a more traditional washing machine with vertical agitator ASAP.

Seal on fridge door not sealing. New hinge and washers to adjust. $30 plus labour. Stove - three different stoves were delivered with the same paint flaw on the top of the control panel (3 inch section where paint did not adhere or was scraped off... Same spot on all three... clearly a factory issue). Stove door - when you touch it the interior light goes on. Warming button and switch was broken when purchased but didnt notice. Whirlpool wont warranty. $48 plus labour. Last piece in this puzzle... Microwave - magnetron went and wont heat. $300 plus labour. Obviously time to change brands. Now to figure out who is NOT under the same manufacturing umbrella.

This machine does not clean the clothes well, keeps an odor even after using Clorox (probably due to water inside that never leaves), and does not spin the clothes well. Every washing is longer than traditional washers and then I must use the spin-only cycle twice (adding another 30 minutes). I must also shake the inside of the tub to get the spin to work at all. The tech came out and re-calibrated, but to no advantage. Terrible machine and should be, as one viewer said, under recall, in my opinion. NOT WORTH THE MONEY -- and I am very disappointed in Whirlpool.

The last straw was a bill for a service call that took 6 months to complete without correcting the problem. Whirlpool sent me a bill for $100 to pay for the privileged. When I complained, WP said if I paid the invoice, they would give me a deal towards a new stove. Meanwhile, the old stove does not work and we are afraid to use it, given our experience with its reliability and safety. I plan to return it to Lowes and buy anything but a Whirlpool product. Beware of Whirlpool Maytag anything!! The customer service is shameful!!

The warranty on the fridge is only 1 year. However, the compressor is the main component of a refrigerator, and the repairman said 5-6 years is the minimum it should last before breaking. Whirlpool Cambridge Model #WTW7300DW0 - Someone needs to help us consumers with this wash machine purchase being refund our money back from Whirlpool. It literally eats my clothes. I have 23 shirts that have pin holes in them and 1 shirt with large holes in it. I also have a ruined comforter and blanket. The comforter has soap stains everywhere which dont come out so its not cleaning the clothes, the blanket (which Ive had for over 30 years) was frayed one side, seam torn off - the piece never came out of the wash machine. I have pictures attached of the damaged. Its suppose to be Water Efficient - thats a joke! I do 1 set of king sheets. It runs for an hour and 20 minutes and fills water to the rim of the washer and does this twice. Id like them to pay for my water bills! Oh they came to service it only to tell me I was putting the clothes in wrong. The service company said I had to put the clothes against the sides and leave the middle open. They told me there was nothing wrong but consumer error. Well I did clothes today and aligned them like the service company said - 4 more shirts were ruined. Called Whirlpool today. They said they were sending someone else out to fix the problem and said, Unfortunately, we dont pay for damaged goods. Well from all the reviews I read Whirlpool needs to suck it up and recall this piece of crap they call a wash machine. Did I mention its only 1 year old, yea this is horrible!

It literally does not wash clothes in even the most basic interpretation of washing. Clothes are almost in the same position as when they were put in the machine. Dont even bother with stain removal, it just rubs stains in and makes them worse. Seriously beware. Very expensive and not worth one dime. Im replacing with the Maytag. I should have stayed with in the first place. I will NEVER buy Whirlpool again. Must have skipped the entire product development on this one. I wouldnt even give it a one star review but the submission wouldnt process without it. WASTE OF $$ DO NOT BUY.

Not only does it not clean the clothes because the agitation on it is as slow as sloth. On top of that the clothes tie themselves in a knot when finished. If you don’t want the frustration of clothes washing, I would highly recommend you not buy this type, if you enjoy cussing then this machine is for you.

A Whirlpool hot water heater in an apartment I own would not stay lit. A plumber came to service and told me I needed a part from Whirlpool and that no one in town carried them. I called Whirlpool and after providing all information about the unit, she informed me that she would not send me the part because the serial number was not registered in my name. I explained to her that I purchased the building and did not install the water heater that a prior owner had installed it. All I wanted was a repair part. The Whirlpool rep refused to sell me a part unless I could provide a bill of sale where I purchased the tank. The part cost $41 which I was more than happy to pay for regardless of any warranty coverage. I have an obligation to provide services to my tenants. Being unable to repair the tank for a problem which appears to be commonplace for this brand, I had to replace with a new tank at a cost of $1380.00.

The last time the repairman told me I couldnt place food in the center of the refrigerator since that is where the cold air from the freezer compartment comes down into the refrigerator compartment. This time when I called to schedule the repair call, the woman at the appliance store where I purchased this told me she also has a Whirpool refrigerator and she cant place any food on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator due to freezing. So this 21 cu ft refrigerator has a lot less usable space than I was led to believe when I purchased it. I would not recommend this product due to this reason. Beware of that channel that comes down the center of the back of the refrigerator. It seems like a design flaw to me.

Clean (?) clothes end up smelling musty and I end up having to wash them two or three times which completely goes against any eco argument! I am really disappointed with this product and would never buy Whirlpool again. I have just washed our dog blankets. The cycle finished so took them out, had to check that the detergent had been used as the blankets were almost completely dry. The blankets still completely smell of dog so have had to put them through another wash (with more detergent – waste of money) and with a pre-wash cycle. Rubbish! We also have a Whirlpool drier and that is no better. Washing never comes out completely dry. It always has to be fully aired, sometimes more than others. There is no consistency in how wet or dry the clothes come out. Avoid at all costs.

December 23rd of 15 it goes out again. We called Whirlpool instead of a service company and the part was under warranty. We paid for overnight shipping but because of the holiday it was not guaranteed. We told them we are fine with Sat. delivery. In the meantime we had to cancel a holiday party scheduled at our house the 24th. We waited around all day Sat. for the part to show and nothing. We called Whirlpool to get the tracking number and we find out that the other service rep didnt mark our package for Sat. delivery. I am very close to just buying a new heater. I am trying to tell everyone I can about how horrible Whirlpool is. I feel sorry for any suckers that buy based on the name and dont do their research.

Jenn-Air said it was normal for some gas to come out and that they have sent the repair technician out three times to not find any leaks. The gas company red-tagged the stove saying it was hazardous. Jenn-Air has terrible customer service. I was on the phone Monday to Friday this week, every day talking with safety managers to supervisors with no results. The biggest problem is that instead of a simple dial to control temperature, you have to be a computer genius to figure out how to turn it to a different temp. even by the instructions. And the ice maker throws ice all over the floor even if you hold the glass up against the top. When I first got it, it made a very loud noise when it run, but that changed with time to a bearable volume. Everything seems to work well other than those few little things.

Weve always had the same problem everyone has with the detergent stains on clothing and having to rewash loads, and the only remedy weve found was using the oversized loads setting and rewashing a load. The last straw was 6 months ago. It quit going through a complete cycle and would not spin out without resetting it. Then it quit spinning out at all. Service Guard, a 3rd party warranty company, diagnosed a faulty motor and ordered a replacement. After a long delay Whirlpool advised it was back-ordered for 3 months. A week ago Whirlpool advised them it was now back-ordered until 5-27. They did not know whether wed ever obtain a replacement motor. After taking clothes to our sons house for a couple months to wash, we purchased another used machine to use until ours is repaired. It is beginning to appear that machine may be our permanent machine. This is a pretty sad testimonial about whirlpool. We have always used Whirlpool appliances but appears we may have to switch brands. And it certainly does appear these low water machines are garbage. Very disappointed in Whirlpool.

Last week dishwasher leaked. Set up repair with our local gas company that has service plus. Came today. Repairman showed me there is a hole in the bottom of the tub. Upon closer inspection it looks like the manufacturer drilled a hole that wasnt needed so they routed out a depression in the tub and must have put in some sort of plug or filler of some kind which now came out. I called Whirlpool and explained to lady about the defective tub. She said well if it had a plug of some sort put into the tub it would have fallen out before this. I said Well it didnt it just must have happened as it never leaked before. She said it is no longer in warranty. I told her this is a defect to me as if you drill a hole in the tub that wasnt necessary and then the plug failed that you put in to hide the extra hole. It is a defect not a warranty issue. Upshot is she wouldnt do anything about it. I told her I have always bought Whirlpool but if this is their policy its the last time I buy anything made by Whirlpool. After reading all the complaints registered here about Whirlpool I guess I am more than fortunate as my dishwasher (bought in 2006) had run great until their plug fell out (Great except for all the rinse aid that has leaked out for several years.).

I phoned Whirlpool Canada, and they said they had to send a service tech. The service tech came, and he confirmed the damage and was told to patch it with a proxy. Sorry but I had just paid $1500 for a new fridge. I didnt want a dent and damage. We received no offer for discount to accept the damaged fridge. They sent another one, still damaged. They used their truck to deliver and the guy had no idea how smashed our brand-new trim.So Whirlpool sent another fridge, and even though I asked them to check it before sending, they didnt. It was damaged. This is four fridges. Im tired of fighting with Whirlpool. I called Leons, and they take care to get me a new fridge undamaged. I told Whirlpool about the damage, and they sent a form. First, they wanted me to claim on my house insurance. Why should I put on a claim? If not, get two quotes and fill out tons of paperwork. Im just too tired after fighting for over two months to get a fridge that isnt damaged. Not even an offer of compensation to cover all the time taken off work and the stress on me and my family. This is the second set of Whirlpool Gold we have purchased in the last 4 years. I doubt I will ever purchase again, because you are a company that doesnt treat your customers with respect or concern.

It has been in a clean, climate-controlled environment and gently used by my family of four for just short of two years. Last week, I began to notice that the clothes coming out of the dryer were cool and damp and it quickly became apparent that the dryer was only heating intermittently. This morning, the service person from the dealer who sold me the washer and dryer set (and a Whirlpool dishwasher a few months later) told me that contacts on the timer unit were bad and that the entire switch would have to be replaced. This is no small portion of the machine and the part alone will cost me about $150. After labor, we are looking at an expense of approximately half of the original cost of the machine - in less than two years. I called the Whirlpool’s customer service line to ask if there was anything that could be done and the answer was: Sorry, we cant do anything for you.” It is not acceptable to me for an appliance to become that expensive that fast. If Whirlpool cant do anything for me about this, then I will not be purchasing anymore Whirlpool products.

Purchased a new Twin Thin washer & dryer combo when I first moved into my new apartment two-years ago since it was a good fit for the space that lies inside my patio. Nothing BUT problems from day one since it DESTROYS/EATS your delicate clothing. Repairmen in and out could find nothing wrong with it. The problem lies in the fact that the so-called gentle cycle agitates at the same rate as the other cycles, but stops so that the agitation time is shorter, but at the same time the agitation no matter if its shorter is still too vigorous for delicates. Under contract, so keep having repairmen come at no cost to me other than a complete waste of money purchase inclusive of unwearable brand new RUINED clothing.Called the company the other day & was told they could SELL me a different one, but they would probably not pay to have the LEMON removed. Also, suggested I wash my delicates in a mesh bag which is impossible to do when one has maxi dresses that tell you to wash on the delicate cycle. Mesh bags are made for small items - DUH!Repairman came again today, and was kind enough to make call to them. Later found that their response to him was that I was putting too much into the washer. Like no way, Jose! Asked tech to forward e-mail to them advising that they were more than welcome to come film me when I wash because that was NOT the problem with it. Already knew Whirlpool had discontinued this washer/dryer combo, but THAT fact was never mentioned. A lot of sites online no longer even carry the parts for it. Found others with the same issues on various sites relating to this now discontinued model which is akin to a Purana fish with shark fins. E-mail sent to tech that was here today asking him to forward my e-mail to whomever he made contact with today via phone that unless the situation is remedied that I would have to take further action. Now awaiting response from the main man tech or whatever his position is at Whirlpool.Bottom line is that it is a LEMON that has not only cost me money, but excessive amount of time to resolve this issue not to mention time spent online researching this, that and the other concerning this discontinued appliance. Warning to all out there - DO NOT BUY WHIRLPOOL - UNLESS YOU WANT A HASSLE and a lot of BS. Found they already have an extreme number of lawsuits against them during my online searches. So, ball is in their court at the present time. Will be calling them the end of the week once again in order to get this problem resolved unless I hear from them via e-mail.Totally exhausted from it all. Bottom line on this is that the agitator also appears TOO LARGE for the machine which also could also be another contributory factor to the destruction capabilities of this now discontinued model. Also, inspected towels today and found torn stitching & thread tearing in those also; appears EVERYTHING you wash in this machine gets destroyed. In researching further on their newer makes noticed that the agitator appears either much smaller or has been removed altogether. Hopefully this will serve to aid anyone out there who is thinking of buying this machine second hand from anyone out there that is attempting to sell it vs obtaining restitution from Whirlpool.

I need to start by saying I or we, my wife and I are both disabled - her with a head injury and a prosthetic leg and walks with a cane and myself well Im stuck in a wheelchair, this makes grocery shopping more of a chore for us than most people and putting things away is part two for this chore. I figured Id buy the biggest, best (LOL) refrigerator Whirlpool had to offer, so I could do our grocery shopping once a month and have a place for everything and the fridge being so big would be capable of holding a months worth of food. It performs that function very well!The problem began when I purchased this wonderful piece of quality craftsmanship (cough) at Lowes in Denton Texas on 6/19/13. While one delivery guy stood on my sidewalk talking to me, we watched the one other guy bringing my rather large brand new Whirlpool refrigerator up the driveway with a regular (not an appliance) dolly. After getting to the end of the driveway and having to go through the front yard to get to the sidewalk, the monster fridge started leaning and eventually ended up on its side in the front yard, needless to say I was a little concerned about damage. They continued to get it in the house after providing me a nice gouge in the door frame before realizing it may be best to take the front door off before entry. So after getting it to the kitchen and removing the box we noticed the left door was way out of whack, so the delivery guy called his boss and we all agreed I needed a new refrigerator. A week later my second new refrigerator was delivered, no box around this one but it made it all the way into the kitchen without a hitch or any more scraps in the front door frame.Three months of dealing with water running down from the ice maker into the door storage areas I made my first service call, the guy said Whirlpool doesnt always put the correct thickness of gasket between the ice machine door and the ice bucket. He ordered gaskets and installed them the next week. Water continued to run down the door from the ice bucket to the shelf storage. 5/14/14 I called for another problem. The refrigerator seems to be running all the time, and there was a fan starting and stopping continuously as well. This was Miles Appliance - he seen the water running down the door and squirted a tube of sealer in the ice machine, replaced the little plastic fan and said that should fix it! I let the Whirlpool service scheduler talk me into the extended warranty since my one year warranty was about to expire so I bit and bought the warranty. 7/18/14 the fridge had a new sound going on for the last few days and still seems to be running all the time. I called for another warrant service, this time I drew In Home Appliance Repair. After waiting three days a guy comes out, verifies the fridge isnt cooling properly and tells me to unplug it for three days, so the ice ball that has formed somewhere can melt, that the noise I was hearing was a fan rubbing against the ice ball. So three more days go by and I plug in the fridge. Two days later the freezer has only cooled to 50 degrees. I called In Home Appliance Repair and they told me Id have to call into Assurant to make another service ticket, which I did. It takes two to three days for service tickets to get processes. After the second day, I called McNiels in Denton to see when I was going to receive my service, they didnt have a ticket for me. I told them Assurant said they would be providing my warranty service. McNiels told me they only service what they sell! I called Assurant back, they turned it over the scheduling gods. Three days later they set me up with a repairman 45 miles away. After waiting on him for four days he says he just doesnt have time to come by and pick up my refrigerator to take to his shop. I call Assurant again and am told its being turned over to the scheduling gods again. Three more days go by and they set me back up with In Home Appliance Repair. I call and they tell me they will be out on July 7 2014. The evening of July 6, 2014 In Home Appliance Repair calls and tells me theyve decided since the defrosting didnt fix the problem two weeks ago it was a system failure and they dont do that type of repair, they would call Assurant for a different service provider. I call Assurant to see whats up, they tell me A&E Factory will be out on July 13,2014. Now nearing a month WITHOUT a refrigerator and still not knowing how long its going to take to fix the problem! If Whirlpool is trusting Assurant to provide extended warranty service then thats exactly what they should be doing, it certainly isnt my fault they cant get service people out in a timely manner to resolve appliance issues. Its not like being without a stove or microwave - this is a refrigerator!!! This is the poorest service I have ever received from Whirlpool and Ive been a faithful Whirlpool customer for many years. In my opinion they should bring me a new fridge, haul this piece of crap to the nearest dump and be done with it! And after reading some of these posts there are lots of people that feel the same way about their appliances. This type of Customer Service needs to STOP, $2700.00 for a refrigerator and have to deal with crap like this is crazy!!!

I have a lower end 4 burner model but I love it. Both power burns are in the front (I would change that) and electronic ignition. The oven temp is true and heats up quickly, I bake upwards of 700 cookies at Christmas time. Even being a lower end model it works great and I use it everyday. I think it is more energy efficient than the model that I replaced, which I replaced in order to have the electronic ignition. I would recommend this Whirlpool Range!

Quiet Partner II - Our dishwasher racks started to crack and rust very quickly, about two years after purchase. We repaired the racks and tines, but the rust got worse. We replaced our dishwasher today with another brand. Many of the tines on the drying rack had rusted and broken off. We have been told to only purchase Nylon racks. I hope this is good advice. I must admit I had no trouble with the machine as far as cleaning my dishes. I just felt the racks should last longer than two years. Cost to replace racks was about the same as replacing the whole machine.

Im very frustrated. I bought a Whirlpool Refrigerator for nearly $1300 in Sept. 11. It is a side-by-side Model #ED5KVEXVL00. The refrigerator side started warming up to the point that we noticed. We put a thermometer inside to confirm; it went up to nearly 60 degrees. We tried cleaning any dust underneath from the coils and even unplugged it for a while. The compressor appears to be the potential problem. Sears is not sending a repair guy for 2 WEEKS (It is a hot July here in NY)!!!!We are saddened that Whirlpool says it is out of the one-year warranty - so now we are facing the choice of a large repair bill or buying a new refrigerator. What a waste of money... Its not even 2 years and it needs service or a dumpster. Shame on Whirlpool for not standing up for customers when clearly there is something wrong with this machine so close to the warranty and so new. Sears and Whirlpool - youve lost me as a future appliance customer!!! :(

We went away to Mexico for 4 months this past winter and this spring the noise seems to be much worse. It seems to have changed -- and we called Whirlpool and they would not help. They said we pay even though we bought this fridge less than a year ago. Consumers should be made aware that if your fridge is noisy you pay for any servicing - they only cover a malfunction. My fridge needs a professional to look at the cause of the loud motor noise.

Model no. WTW4950XW is a piece of pure junk. Bought this machine 2yrs, 4 months ago. I just replaced it and to be sure not with another Whirlpool. The machine went out. Just quit. Nothing on control panel (computer). Didnt call for service tech as this machine has been crap since I bought it. Tried to return it but couldnt after I first used it. It would only give hot water on 2 cycles and that was on bulk or delicate. The regular cycle would only give warm but actually it was cold. Not enough water for 6 pieces of small clothes on regular. More water on delicate. Didnt wash very well. Clothes were not really as clean as they should have been. I used to only buy Whirlpool appliances but have now switched. They are bilking the consumer with subpar machines.

The machine runs short cycles and requires us to not only do an extra rinse, each load requires an additional Quick Wash (with extra rinse) to get the detergent out. We use so little detergent that a 75 fl. oz. bottle has lasted four months with over 50% left. The techs Whirlpool sends are great. The call center first level people are fabulous. The supervisor is not helpful proclaiming that it was fixed. However, we still have to re-run the clothes every time.

I bought a Cabrio from Costo less than 2 years ago. Dryer so far so good (big barrel with hair dryer so what could go wrong?). Washing machine is HORRIBLE. Lid latch broke (couple hundred to repair). Now out of the blue I get an F2 error & machine is completely inoperable. I am only user & very careful with it. There should be a recall on this expensive junk. NEVER buy Cabrio or maybe any Whirlpool appliances again. Ive never written a bad review btw.
