What happens if you don't select a seat on Volaris? ›

If you haven't chosen a seat yet, you can do so now for a small additional cost or keep the one we've assigned to you. 6. If your flight is international, fill out your passport and visa details if applicable.

How much it costs to select my seat? The price for each seat is per passenger for a single journey (taxes included) and may vary depending on the route and the seat type: Premium, More Space, First-off or Standard. Seat prices are listed under Additional Services Fees.

Volaris Airlines offers passengers Premium seats. The Premium seats are located in rows 1-5 and the exit rows and have additional legroom. These seats can be booked for an extra fee.

Of course, there are ways to avoid paying the fees, from flying an airline that doesn't charge them or buying a ticket that includes seat selection to having frequent-flyer status that gives you free seats as a perk. Keep in mind that these fees are technically optional.

This is fine when you're traveling alone, however when traveling together it's best to book seats so you're guaranteed to sit together. If you get your seats randomly assigned, you might not sit together. You will get the seat that has been allocated to you by the airline.

Pick a middle seat or do not choose a seat until check-in. Middle seats often have no additional cost unless they are in the exit row or toward the front of the cattle cabin. If the flight is not too full, you can get a non-middle seat at check-in without paying.

You can always skip seat selection and save the money, but do keep a few things in mind: Skipping seat selection doesn't mean you won't get a seat on the flight. You might get stuck in the middle seat if you don't pay for one.

Checking in: Follow the step-by-step on-screen instructions to complete the check-in process. This will include confirming passenger details and selecting seats and meals. If you don't choose a seat during check-in, a seat will be auto-assigned to you.

If you don't pre-book your seats, they will be allocated when you check in online or at the airport on a first come, first served basis. Please note that seats across the aisle or in the row behind or in front are classed as 'together'.

If you decide not to select a seat, an available seat is automatically assigned to you randomly during check-in.
