The Reformed Society of Jesus

The Jesuit Community of the Reformed Catholic Church

Dear Family in Christ,

I hope that the Easter Season is one of great joy for you all.

I have some news about our community that I would like to share with you.

Over the past few weeks' time, there seems to be a Spirit-Led awakening in some members of The Reformed Catholic Church. This awakening has led them into the Reformed Society of Jesus -- Our community.

I am very proud of the accomplishments of the RSJ community.  Many of our brothers have taken leadership roles and have done incredible work for the order and the RCC.  I want to thank Monsignor Marcis for his outstanding efforts in the Communication Department! The work he has done has helped the RCC to grow substantially.  I also want to thank Fr. Martin Jordan, who has taken on the difficult duties of Vicar of Finance for the RCC.  Keep him in your prayers!  Finances are always a difficult, touchy subject!  I must also commend Fr. Warren Taylore for his efforts on the Pax Radio program, which has greatly touched many of the faithful around the world.  Bishop-Elect Ian Adrian, soon to profess his vows, has assumed responsibility for the RCC Blog, which is now known as   AD MAIOREM DEI GLORIAM.

I am happy to report that over the past two weeks, several new members have professed their vows to the order:

Bishop Shane W. Price, RSJ    Vicar of the Judiciary

Bishop James Martino, RSJ      Diocesan Bishop of Our Lady of Peace

Brother Brian Halbison, RSJ      Associate, Holy Cross RCC, Toledo

I have accepted the request of the following to join the order:

Bishop-Elect Ian Adrian, RSJ(p) Bishop-Elect of Australia

As I say to everyone, the RSJ behind our name, more than a reference to the Reformed Society of Jesus, means REAL SOCIAL JUSTICE.  Members of our Order have demonstrated that this community is truly dedicated to that cause.

I would like to ask that members of the order who have graphic design skills develop a logo for the order that will incorporate the AIDS Red ribbon (in honor of our patron, St. Aloysius Gonzaga) and the Jesuit symbology.

I would like to recommend that we, as an order, remain in closer contact with each other, either by phone or by email.

I would like to call a Jesuit Convocation to be held during the Fall Synod in Columbus, scheduled for October 1 - 5, 2008.  Please let me know if you can attend.

Jesuit Thoughts:

If you seek peace and tranquility, you will certainly not find them so long as you have a cause for disturbance and turmoil within yourself.

St Ignatius of Loyola

May God Bless you all.
